Can an Regal Entertainment Group gift card be used at AMC theatres?

Q) I have a Regal gift card, went on its website to see what theatres I can use the card at by entering my zip code. The search pulled AMC theatres and Regal threatres. So does this mean I can use the card at AMC locations?

A) You can't. I tried the same thing with a card. it was rejected at AMC. They are actually fierce rivals, or something....

Is the Regal Entertainment Group crown club card free?

Q) because i just applyed for one online and i dont know if its free or not.

A) yes, it's free... it's not as good as is seems though, unless you go to the movies like everyday. it takes about 5 movie tickets to get a free small popcorn...
